This galvanized brooder box is the perfect home for your young chickens.
If you are buying day-old chicks or hatching them from an incubator you need a safe place that is warm and dry for your baby chicks to live.
It has rounded corners that make cleaning easy and it’s great for the baby chicks (no chicks stuck in a corner)
We recommended creating a base of dry wood shavings and use a heated chick plate in this brooder to keep your baby chicks warm.
Capacity
The following capacity is a guide only as different breeds of chickens growing faster and are naturally larger:
- 0-1 week of age 100 chickens
- 1-2 weeks of age 80 chickens
- 2-4 weeks of age 50 chickens
- 4-6 weeks of age 30 chickens
